Hi all

I have a 2006 convertible and the right side headlight stopped working. The globe was blown so I replaced it but still doesn\'t work. I know the globe is good but I\'m not getting power to the globe. I have taken power straight from the battery and probed the positive wire near the globe connector and it works. So I know the earth is good.

Where is the headlight fuse located?

I have a manual and it says the headlight fuse is under the bonnet and is number 19 or 20. These have been checked and have continuity. Am I checking the right fuses?

Do I have another fuse box under the dashboard somewhere? I have checked but can\'t see one.

I am also thinking it could be a broken wire and may have to trace it back.

Hoping for help please

cheers...Andrew

What you‘ll actualy find is you have a fault
it needs to be scanned and decoded
its whats called a TiPiM fault in a power module
usual detection is a faulty headlight
nothing to do anyfuses
you need to get it scanned and codes cleared
once the code is cleared it will operate
but it will have to be repaired still

Thanks for the info Colin.

Would that explain why the globe blew in the first place or is it coincidental\"

sometimes yes
Thats usually how its first detected
And confirmed with new globe not working

I mean it could be as you said a faulty wire
But Sounds like your TiPiM

Thanks. It\'s a bit hard to get it scanned on the weekend. I\'ll trace and probe the wire just in case over the weekend and follow up with a scan if necessary.

cheers.
