About 3 weeks ago flat battery. Replaced the battery, and just this weekend, not used for 3 days flat battery again. Raa checked everything alternator charging fine, took pt to auto electrician was told might need new alternator, asked for a price between $500 to $700 omg. Haven't booked in as yet, Has anyone else had this problem it's only when car is sitting for a few days.

You need to hook up a digital multimeter across the battery terminals to watch if any power is dropping.
Diodes can short out in alternators causing a drain.
Also pop the back seat down and and see if the rear boot compartment light isn't staying on.
Sometimes if fog lights are fitted they have switched on on their own after locking up the car through bad contacts at the combination switch.
Geez any auto electrician should be able to properly diagnose it.

Failing that ....and not knowing what area you are in! look up our website for repairers and chat with them - www.ptcruisers.org.au

Bob we have the same problem with our 2006 PT and it is caused by the interior heater/ cooling fan being left on if we make sure it is off at the switch it is fine if its left in the on position it comes on by itself and drains the battery unfortunately we haven't found a fix yet for this problem but it is a pain in the Arse if we forget to turn it off this could be the same problem you may have. Cheers Phil.

Thanks ,everyone I make sure everything is off when getting out, and will def ring Bleam if ever need alternator.
Took pt to another electrician and he said no its not the alternator, which we knew, as it output was 14.4, something is draining it,so he said to have a look around the car in the dark and see if any lights are left on, easier to see in the dark. If not he will have the car for half a day and see what he can find.
When my wife took it to the first auto electrician it was the receptionist that said oh probably the alternator this is how much it will be, god there a receptionist not a auto electrician, so they shouldn't try and give there advice. They have lost our business.
