TOPIC: Chrome Bumper bars

Chrome Bumper bars 4 months 4 weeks ago #83360

Hi PTCO's (PT Cruiser Owners), I have recently purchased a low mileage 2003 PT Classic and would like to 1940's it.
Does anybody know where I can get a set of front and rear chrome bumper bars. My wife, Rosemary, also drives a 2004 PT Classic and Loves it.
Any help would be much appreciated. Many Thanks, Peter

I'm not sure if they were ever available in Australia.
Only one I know that had them in our club was SAY8IN.
I'm pretty sure they were imported from the states back when PT's were new.
These days I can only suggest looking at getting them wrapped.
They can do a whole car in a chrome wrap, so I don't think a bumper would pose a problem.

G'day Peter and welcome to the PTCOs guys and gals. As Colin writes, they are available in the USA. Not ever having seen any would be inclined to think that they would be plastic chrome covered. Don't forget the whitewalls and moon baby hubcaps. (A good place to look for hotrod stuff is via an Rodder's magazine (Aussie) called Cruisin' in the newsagents).

G'day again there, but Melbourne being a big place, there's got to be somewhere (unless as you asked, if someone on the forum knows of a place). We went the long way around getting the woody graphics on our Cruiser by first starting on the PTC USA site, then travelling over there to hopefully source an afternarket woody kit, and ended up settling for a local job here in Port Macquarie, NSW! Phew talk about easy! And we are very happy with the job.
Please include some pics of your retro rod when all done.
