Saturday

Saturday morning sees everyone gathered at the local park meeting spot and all on time too
Directions are given and cards are chosen then its on the road south to head north to Milton
As with planning the weekend not everything is as it seems
A short cruise around the local area reveals a sealed road on the maps is actually not sealed
Luckily, sort of, That with the recent showers the dust was kept to a minimum and with the sunny weather NO MUD
And would you believe we come across the only set of traffic lights for miles
Back onto sealed roads its on to Milton and the Scarecrow festival
With pre-arranged parking already reserved, Markets and scarecrows and lunch at a local.
Seems even some of the stall holders at the local markets had heard their were treasure hunters in town.
One member was spotted trying to remove FAKE feathers from a feather boa from a scarecrows neck ??
Pictures of the offender were submitted and posted below
While in Milton several PT's were spotted passing through
One, a member from many years ago. Was holidaying in the local area having luch at the same venue as we were
The other PT was of course Teena, who came down to join in on the fun
With everyone meeting back at the carpark after lunch it was on to Ulladulla Lighthouse
A few cars were already there but soon moved once we started to arrive
Lining up the PT's for several group photo's and some whale spotting
Back to the cabins and prepare for dinner at the local Ex-servies club
With excellent meals and everyone seated together it was the Start of a great and memorable night
Arriving back at the cabins around 8 gave us an hour to prepare for the Onsie party
Not really knowing just who would turn up in a onsie and who wouldn't.
Then around 9 they started to arrive, Cats and Tigers, Dogs and Zebra's, Monsters and Cows, Bats and Skeletons.
And of course a real life Penguin......
100% turnout everyone with a onsie Just one without which was Teena and that was allowed
It was agreat night and we enjoyed every minute as did everyone who attended.
We thank you all for going to the trouble. It will go down as one of the most enjoyable and memorable things we have done
For the few who couldn't make it you'll just have to make do with the photos

aaaah the serenity!

Well that didn't last long
Gathering for the Saturday Cruise

Some dressed for the occasion

Instructions were given and then its back on the road

Honestly it said sealed..........
That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Nothing but PT's

Scarecrow Festival Some really got into the spirit

Hmm feathers?? No one will know......
Even if they are fake and there's a parrot sitting on its other shoulder
with much better feathers

Enjoying an ale with friends

May look familiar. Members some years ago Black PT Alien Plates
Holidaying in the area

Main street of Ulladulla

Ulladulla Lighthouse PT Carpark

Saturday night dinner at the club

The possum has started something
Tonight more strange animals turn up on our doorstep

Something that will stay in my memory for a very long time
Thank you for all being a part of it
And NO we will not be wearing our onsie's to the zoo tomorrow

Sunday

Sunday More driving, More animals, More food and a few little momento's
Before leaving for the Sunday run a quick dash to the local hospital to pick up an important patient
A bit of a scare but all turned out fine
Sunday morning see everyone again meet opposite to the holiday park
Brian and Robyn leaving for home early, Sorry to see them go
Both have had a great time
Trip down to Mogo was trouble free
Althought someone had to stop before 10:30am to get a treasure hunt item
Arrive at the zoo and spend the next couple of hours wondering around looking at the animals
2nd time we have been and both times we've enjoyed the day
Before leaving a few staged photos' of everyone with their car
Then off to Mogo Town for lunch
Disappointing as not as busy or as many food shops as the last time we visited
Stopped at several beaches on the way back
Back at the cabins to prepare for the final nights entertainment and BBQ
Once again many thanks to Anna & Joan for all the effort they put in.
Thanks Anna for donating the ingredients for the shots and raising a few dollars for the club
But a big thanks to Anna, Chris, Olivia and freind as well as Joan for once again letting our cabin being the centre of attention
Before any raffle was to be drawn there were a few other prizes to be awarded
Firstly the Poker Run with the last cards being drawn before dinner
This year cards were for sale to improve your hand with several taking up this option
The best buy went to Ray Maher who got the best and winning hand 4 acces
Next were prizes for the Onsie party
These were determined by comittee members who were present for most of the night
First up the main award for the best onsie went to Jan Knighton for all the work that went into hers and Dennis's
Best couple went to the pair of Bats, Steve and Moni Corbett.
And the "who cares what I look like " Award went to by popular choice to Don Lowrie and his Happy Penguin
The treasure hunt... very popular and very competative I thought I'd made it hard enough but obviously not
The response was overwelming and will definately need changing if used again
So many had all ten items. it came down to who had the best examples of each of the "harder items"
The best Hubcap, the best Pine Cone, The best Feather and the best borboun ;)
Plus several other items which got my attention and deserve an honorable mention
Ray & Gayles "pine Cone" was Pine needles inserted into an Icecream cone, Very clever.
Ray & Lyns. Ostrich Feather from Mogo Zoo. All you had to do was ask.
But there can be only one winner and that was Mick & Judi who collected every item on the list
and had the earliest by time, docket :)
Raffle prizes went too, 3rd prize Olivia J , 2nd Prize Chris, Mrs Chubby and 1st prize, Mick & Judi
Some special trophies were also presented to all the winners.
Left was the handing out to everyone of the Burrill Lake pins
and unamiously voted on as a second visit next year
Another great night to cap of a very memorable weekend
As many were leaving for home in the morning Several would be staying on for another day or two
We had a great time and thank everyone who came along
You all made it the great weekend it was and already looking forward to next year
There will be a little more on what happened Monday and our trip home on Tuesday
But for now here are some pics of Sunday

The view of Burrill Lake from Holiday Park

First stop before Mogo Zoo

Arrive at the Zoo

Everyone posed for a great photo

The trip home on Tuesday afternoon

Who would of thought a stop to look at Fitzroy Falls could take upto 3 hours
More details on this later as well............
