Arrived at Chullora around 8:30 Most who were meeting here were already here
Concidering the forecast it was 100% turnout 13 Chryslers and still a Hyundai sneeaking around(Chris J)
Some light showers from the start to the top of Bulli. How many noticed the lead 3 cars take a wrong turn early on hmmm
Some things never change or is it on purpose? they still came out in front of the bunch, so not all bad ;)
With 3 joining us on the way down it was plain sailing from there to Kiama
Kiama was a different story Arriving at our destination just before 11am
The wind was blowing and storm bay looked like, well. Storm bay....
Parking up on the grass looked a bit dodgy so most chose to fight it out in the car park
The wind was that strong it caused some damage to one or two PT's especially those with the larger doors acting like main sails. :(
After several expeditions it was decided that to perch up on top of the hill in the open was not suitable for a BBQ or any sort of temporay shelters
Once again we were on the move back down the hill to a bottom carpark
Which was for Cars with trailers, fortunately not many boats out today so we pretty much had the whole car park
By this time Dexter and family had arrived and were welcomed by all
Setting up the BBQ proved to be another test, with gas not getting throught to the burners.
Then upon trying the electric BBQ's in the area none of those seemed to be working as well
So for the last time all the food was once again moved back to our original spot
Discussions were then on wether to buy lunch from one of the local takeaways
or do the presentation and get out of there before the weather turned bad
Suddenlt everything turned around and started too improve
Firstly the BBQ blockage was cleared(Thanks Steve and Chris) the wind died down just a little
The sun came out and the meat was sizzling.
With plenty of food and as many empty bellies lunch was finished and time to get down to bussiness

With the total sum of $1500 being donated to Dexter and another several hundred on the day from Mopar & Muscle Club
& the R & S Club
Also presented to Dexter was his very own monogramed PTCDU NSW Club shirt (Thanks Jan :) )
and a PT Keyring (Black too!!!) Dexter and family were pretty chuffed and very greatful for our help
In thanking us Lenice, Dexters mum assured us the money would be well spent and we'll be informed on what is purchased to help Dexter.
I have since been told, that they intend purchasing a special seat.
Which allows Dexter to use a toilet without two people struggling to hold him.
and of course make it more comfortable for Dexter as well.

Andrew(dad) Lenice(mum) Dexter, Charlotte(Dexters Sister) and Carol (Lenice's Sister)
All thank PT Cruisers Downunder NSW and Mopar Muscle Club and R & S Series Valiant Club
For their tremendous genorosity and greatly appreciate our help and invite anyone who is in the area at any time to call in to see how Dexter is doing and say hello.
I wish to thank everyone as well for the past 6 months who helped out. donated money and time.
Knowing you have helped someone and get too see exactly who your helping makes a big difference
I know several were very touched upon meeting Dexter and want to do more to help them out
Not only does Dexter and his family thank them
But also Joan and Myself wish to thank you all personally for making his life just that lttle bit easier
Its been hard with our family connections to ask you all to help out
But we do truly appreciate it very much and once again makes me very proud to be a member of such a caring sharing bunch of people.
Thanks :)

Photos are taking sometime to load
They maybe posted tomorrow night

UPDATE

As written on Facebook
Lenice asked me too pass on a big thank you for all your help

Remember the toilet seat I tried out last week? Well, we got some really good news yesterday! It is costing a LOT less then we expected, just under $3500!!!!! So, thanks to some fundraising done by Jane and Melissa last year and by my uncle Colin and his mates this year, we were able to purchase the seat! Now we only have to wait for it to be shipped to Australia and not for funding approval. So hopefully it will be here not long after I get back from my therapy in Adelaide next month! Yay! Big thanks and sloppy kisses to all who helped with those fundraisers. X
