Hi
I just bought a 2000 PT (manual) classic and am trying to work out which oil I use? Please can anyone advise? Many thanks

You would probably get many varied answers on this one and pending the condition of your car, but seriously the answer is easy! Read the service Manual or whoever you are buying your oil from or your service mechanic would have a listing on it.
I don't have my car or service manual with me just at this moment to confirm for you.
In saying that being an early model it's probably gots some k's on it now, so a normal/semi synthetic multi grade would probably do.

5W-30 or 10W-30 according to a manual I just downloaded for a 2001-04 model so I'm sure yours wouldn't be much different.
It says Normal Multigrade, Semi Synthetic or Full Synthetic will do.
Also depends on what the previous owner was using.
Also note it's colder down there so you may need to ask what's suited to your area.

I am a firm believer in synthetic oil - I like Mobil 1. The only downside is higher cost, but I feel engine longevity is worth it. My PT has 130,000 miles on it and uses no oil.
I have never seen a synthetic blend that says what % is synthetic. 2 drops?
